Roger took some well
deserved vacation from the Stonewall Jackson Inn. Roger and
Tina took 10 days starting off with a nights stay at another
Bed and Breakfast in Pennsylvania called the Jackson house.
http://www.jacksonhousebandb.com. If you are in that neck
of the woods, I would recommend them!
We traveled to the port of Baltimore MD and boarded the
Grandeur of the Seas cruise ship by Royal Caribbean for a 9
day Caribbean Cruise. Our first port of call was Miami which
we didn’t leave the ship. We were content to have dinner on
board and catch up on our reading.
The second port of call was Key West. Key West is one of my
favorite ports to go to. The diverse culture and things to do
are numerous. We went to the Ernest Hemmingway House, Jimmy
Buffett’s “Margaritaville” and the
Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory
Third port of call was Costa Maya Mexico where we took a jeep
to a private beach for fun in the sun.
Fourth port of call was Cozumel Mexico where it was Roger’s
first time riding a horse! Roger can understand why cowboys
are bowlegged!!!!
The final port of call was Port Canaveral where the Space
shuttle lifts off. We were lucky enough to watch a Delta 2
communication rocket blast off and see the Space Shuttle on
the launch pad. The NASA news is the number of Space Shuttle
missions are limited and they are going back to the old style
space rockets where the astronauts and payload are on top of
the boosters and not on the side.

Did you know?
Three kings did not
visit baby Jesus in the manger.
The Gospel of Matthew
in the New Testament simply states "some wise men came from
the east to Jerusalem", without specifying the number of
wise men or weather any of them were kings. The wise
men follow the star to "a house" - not the manger - in
Bethlehem and visit the baby Jesus. (According to the Gospel
of Luke, sheppards, summoned by an angel, find Joseph, Mary
and the newborn baby in the manger.) Around the third
century C.E., African church father Tertullian Called the
wise men fere regis (Latin for "almost kings).
Christian scholar Origen (circa 185-253 C. E.) first
suggested that there were three wise men, perhaps based on
the fact that the Gospel of Matthew mentions three gifts -
Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. The obscure collection
Excerpta Latina Barberi, written in the sixth century C.E.,
includes the first mention of the names of the three
visitors: Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthasar.
And now you know!
