Happy

Valentines Day!

Famous Guests who stayed at the Inn

Steinway pianist and composer Michael Wolff has a wealth of straight-ahead jazz credentials combining his musical roots in jazz with world beat sensibility. Widely known as the musical director for the Arsenio Hall Show, Wolff’s storied background includes work with Nancy Wilson, Cal Tjader, Sonny Rollins and Cannonball Adderley. He also brings a growing body of soundtrack work (Dark Angel, Made Up, The Tic Code) to the table. Wolff’s eclectic band, Impure Thoughts, features long-time companions John B. Williams on bass, Victor Jones on drums and Badal Roy on tablas. Wolff says “with this band we can play anywhere from a mainstream club like Birdland in New York to jam band places like Higher Ground in Vermont, to performing with the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center. But wherever we play, whenever we get together, we feel like we’re creating some magic.”

Michael Wolff and his band performed at JMU's Masterpiece Theater Encore series and stayed at the Inn  in January
