Eileen Ivers  & Immigrant Soul Band

Eileen with two of our guests, Rachael and Nativa Kesecker

Eileen Ivers and her band, Immigrant Soul stayed with us for her performance at JMU's Masterpiece Theater. Ivers is best known as the fiery violinist with the hit show Riverdance. She is a nine-time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion, founding member of Cherish the Ladies and has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops and The Chieftains. She transforms Irish music, adding elements that have brought it well beyond its traditional roots to include styles ranging from jazz to salsa, flamenco and rock.
