Asparagus and Ham Strata
INGREDIENTS
:
1/4 cup butter
1/2 pound fresh asparagus (or 2 cans drained asparagus spears or
pieces)
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
1 loaf French bread, cubed (8 cups)
2 cups Cheddar Cheese
1 cup chopped ham
1/2 cup honey
8 eggs
2-1/2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
PREPARATION
:
Saute asparagus, pepper, and onion in
butter, then place in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Layer bread cubes,
ham, 1 cup cheese, and veggies. Beat all other ingredients (except
cheese) and pour over layers. Sprinkle remaining cheese. Refrigerate
overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
